“The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and  each  will be rewarded according to his own labor. For we are fellow  workers. (1 Corinthians 3:8-9)

"But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, PEACE, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5:22-23

A few days ago Bob found an old recording I made for my parents for Christmas about 56 years ago. He could not believe it was me – his wife of 46 years – on that old scratchy record. I certainly had forgotten it.

It was a simplistic poem from many years ago, but I think you just might find a thought or two to remind you of the PEACE and joy that exists within Godly marriages.

May I share it with you?

THERE IS JOY

There is beauty all round, there is joy in every sound

Peace and plenty here abide smiling sweet on every side.

Time will softly sweetly glide when there is love at home

In the cottage there is joy, hate and envy ne’r annoy.

Roses blossoming smell sweet, all the earth is a garden sweet

Making life’s bliss complete when there is love at home.

Kindly heaven smiles above, all the earth is filled with love

And there is one who smiles on high when there is love at home.

The key word for this year’s "Annual Joy Day" is PEACE. Peace is not always easy to achieve but it is a worthy goal. If you allow God to work in you, and if you strive to exhibit the characteristics listed as gifts of the spirit you will find true JOY in your marriage and home. Celebrate with each other this special day of JOY.

God bless you.
